This was the first time I came across a bulldog before. I thought it was kinda a scary looking dog, however It was a pretty adorable dog. It was really approachable being I was a stranger holding a camera, sticking at his face. I took this video clip at the local animal shelter, I think this dog was surrendered by its owner for some reason.
According Wikepedia, Bulldog is often called English Bulldog. The breed includes characteristics of broad shoulders and a matching head. Typically, bulldogs have thick folds of skin on a Bulldog's brow, followed by round, black, wide-set eyes, a short muzzle with characteristic folds called "rope" above the nose, with hanging skin under the neck, drooping lips, and pointed teeth.
This dog is a pretty large male adult bulldog, which usually weighs approximately 55-60 pounds. Mature females weigh in at approximatly 45 pounds. Despite how it looks like, bulldogs are considered docile and tractable, with good temperement that includesfiendliness, kindness and courageous.
Despite their muscular strong structure, they do not need lots of exercise and hence deemed well suited to apartment or small dwellings. They are great with kids, and other dogs generally so they are a fine dog to keep as a family pet with kids and other dogs.
